Style inspiration: the kimono

Confession: ever since I saw Heartfire in that second episode of Arrested Development season 4, kimono-style jackets and tops have kind of been growing on me. This one from Zara is absolutely gorgeous.

I love the way it's styled, too. It makes what may be sort of a hard to pull off item casual and perfect for summer.

It's Arrested Development

Here's (some of) the cast of Arrested Development, reunited:

I love how Jessica Walter looks like a (much) nicer version of Lucille. I also love Alia Shawkat and Portia de Rossi's looks. But really, how cute is this bunch? Look at Michael Cera! Aww. But really, Alia Shawkat is gorgeous, and has a great sense of style.

Ahhhh three more days!!!

Maeby We Should Be Seeing More of Alia Shawkat

... because, turns out, she's a pretty cool lady! She's been kind of MIA since Arrested Development ended, so it's fun to see how she's grown up into a well-spoken, beautiful, confident young woman. Also--I absolutely adore her jumpsuit! I would say that it's pretty bold, but the way she wears it, you can tell she actually does not give a flying fack what you think. She pulls it off quite well; so well, in fact, that I'm suddenly quite interested in jumpsuits. Well, that was a freebie! (Well, no, it really wasn't, but I had to make at least one AD/Maeby reference.) (And no "Her?" jokes, guys. I can hear them coming from around the corner. They're wearing tap shoes. [That was a Pushing Daisies reference. Speaking of PD, isn't time we get the follow-up we were promised? So many loose ends! SUCH A GOOD SHOW. Damn you, the system!])

Michael Cera is also making some bold fashion choices. On Facebook/YouTube/whatever I have seen a good number of comments that were quite critical of his outfit. Come on! Just let him be. We have got to do something about that boy's self-esteem... Just cool your Japanese jets, everybody. He looks ready to be Mr. Manager to me.
