This Must Be The Only Fantasy

Rodarte's S/S 13 short film, "This Must Be The Only Fantasy", is amazing. Apparently, Kate and Laura Mulleavy got their inspiration from films including E.T., Lord of the Rings, The Never Ending Story, The Dark Crystal, and The Princess Bride. I love it for its unabashed, fantastical weirdness. Strange and beautiful. Also, Frodo.

A Cause For Celebration

Prada has really been releasing some interesting stuff recently, in terms of digital media, but this most recent pairing... I think it was a match made in heaven.

You may remember the Anderson/Coppola team from the summer's Moonrise Kingdom--the two wrote the screenplay together. And that sure went well. (Although I am a bit of a sucker for Wes Anderson films.) Of course I love the other, less comical short films Prada and Miu Miu have put out, but this one is definitely my favorite. I think I'll try and emulate Candy for a few days and see how it works out. I'll let you know if I end up with a couple of men on my arm and a homemade double-vanilla-chocolate-almond cream cake ;)
